Translanguaging pedagogy can be visualized by a tree (adapted from Chumak-Horbatch, 2019).

The Translanguaging tree has two parts-- a visible part and an invisible part. The invisible hidden root part represents various key principles of translanguaging pedagogy that provides the strong foundation for the translanguaging tree. It helps the tree grow branches of translanguaging strategies and activities and bear fruits of the development of content with literacy and oracy in each language and all of the languages.

So never design classroom activities and expect any learning without establishing a foundation of firm translanguaging principles.
